Trial runs on Metro 4’s Cadbury Junction-Gaimukh stretch to commence Monday; Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority officials say corridor on track for year-end operations

Mumbai: Trial runs on Thane’s Cadbury Junction-Gaimukh section of Metro Line 4 will commence Monday, with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and his deputies Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar set to flag off the runs.

The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is executing the 32.3km Wadala-Thane-Kasarvadavali Metro-4 corridor, along with its extension up to Gaimukh (Metro 4A) in phases. The 10.5km Cadbury Junction-Gaimukh stretch is nearing completion, with passenger operations expected by Dec-end, after trials and safety clearances.
