Train fares hiked: 1 paisa/km beyond 215 km for ordinary class, 2 paise/km for other classes from Dec 26

NEW DELHI: The Railway Ministry on Sunday announced a revision in train fares. For ordinary class passengers travelling beyond 215 km, the fare will go up by 1 paise per kilometre.
Non-AC passengers in mail and express trains, as well as AC passengers across all trains, will see an increase of 2 paise per kilometre.
The new rates will be effective from December 26, 2025, according to news agency PTI.
