Top 1% rich in developed countries emit more CO2 than the richest 10% in India, Brazil & other developing countries: CEEW

The per capita carbon (CO2) footprint of the top 1% and the top 10% income groups in developed countries is four to eight times greater than their counterparts in developing nations, according to a study by the Delhi-based policy research institute Council on Energy, Environment, and Water.

Carbon footprint is the amount of carbon dioxide emissions generated by all the activities of a person or an entity.
