Toll fee hike on Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway rolled back; no change in revised rates in other stretches

Following public outrage, the massive 22 per cent toll fee hike on the newly inaugurated Mysuru-Bengaluru expressway in the poll-bound Karnataka was rolled back Saturday.

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) project director B T Sridhar confirmed to The Indian Express about the reversal in toll tariff.

As part of annual revision of toll prices across the country, the NHAI had decided to enforce a hike in toll fee from Saturday, barely 19 days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the new expressway. However, the decision was changed at the last minute.
