TNGECL gets trading licence
Chennai: In a step to become a complete renewable energy power centre in the state, TN Green Energy Corporation Ltd (TNGECL) was granted a trading licence by the state electricity regulatory authority, TNERC.
Just like the solar energy corporation of India (SECI), which buys solar energy from private developers and sells it to discoms, TNGECL will buy all green power generated in the state and sell it to the TN Power Distribution Corporation Ltd (TNPDCL). Under the licence, TNGECL can trade more than 500mn units of green power within the state.
