TN to add 10K MW solar energy: Minister

Chennai: State minister for transport and electricity S S Sivasankar said on Tuesday that the TN govt was planning to install 10,000MW of solar and 2,000MW of wind energy over the next five years.
“With our strong solar potential and long coastline, we are creating synergies between solar, wind, and storage to deliver reliable, round-the-clock renewable power. The TN govt also plans to add 10,000MW of solar and 2,000MW of wind energy in the next five years to achieve its energy transition goals,” Sivasankar said at the International Energy Conference and Exhibition in Delhi.
