Thales signs long term avionics maintenance and electronic flight bag contracts with IndiGo

MUMBAI: French multinational aerospace and defence company Thales has signed two strategic contracts with India’s largest airline, IndiGo.
These include an 11-year avionics maintenance agreement for over 1,200 aircraft and a 5-year fleet-wide Electronic Flight Bag roll-out, said Thales in a press statement issued on Wednesday.
The new 11-year maintenance support contract for IndiGo’s current Airbus A320 fleet and future order of A32X aircraft includes Thales’s avionics ‘By The Hour’ and ‘Repair By The Hour’ programmes.
