Test conducted for more power generation at NTPC’s Barh unit

The NTPC Barh Super Thermal Power Station conducted the boiler light-up test for the second unit of stage-1 of 660MW on Saturday. An official said the test signified the readiness of the boiler for power generation process.

Now, Barh power station has started the work for steam blowing as per protocol of internal MoU target. The unit will start commercial operations this financial year producing 660MW of electricity, out of which Bihar will get 402MW.

Regional executive director (east-1) Sital Kumar and chief general manager (Barh) Asit Dutta congratulated the team at Barh power station for achieving the significant milestone. Chief general manager instructed the team at Barh plant to be fully geared up for steam blowing process of the unit.
