CHENNAI: Tata Motors will combine both internal combustion engine conversion Gen 2 electric vehicles along with products from its pure EV architecture Avinya to attack the EV marketspace, said Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility.
The company is also working on a 1.5 litre petrol engine for its higher-end SUVs to plug the gap in its range. Tata Motors launched the facelifted new Safari and Harrier on Tuesday at an introductory price of Rs 16.19 lakh and Rs 15.49 lakh respectively.
“The new Safari and Harrier address some gaps in our premium SUV range, and we will expand our portfolio in petrol too for this segment,” he said.
