Tata Group led consortium of GIC Singapore and SSG Capital will invest Rs 8,000 cr in GMR Airports business. With this strategic investment, Tata will foray into airports business.
Post the investment, its parent GMR Infra will hold 54 per cent stake and Tata Group, GIC and SSG will hold 20 per cent, 15 per cent and 10 per cent respectively. Following the investment, GMR group proposes to demerge its energy, highways, urban infrastructure & transportation businesses, leading to separation of its Airport business.
