State hits back at Centre over delay in railway projects

Chennai: The state govt blamed the n railway ministry for the delay in the execution of railway projects in Tamil Nadu. The railway minister recently stated in Parliament that several railway projects in TN were delayed due to the state govt causing delays in land acquisition.

Responding to this, commissioner of land administration, K S Palanisami, said, “Administrative sanction was given for a total of 2,394 hectares of land for implementing various railway projects in Tamil Nadu, and out of them, funds were not sanctioned for projects covering 931.52 hectares of land.”
