SpiceJet plans to induct up to 20 Boeing 737 MAX and between five and 10 Q400 aircraft during fiscal 2019, Ajay Singh, the airline’s promoter said on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the India Aviation Summit 2019 organised by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation, he said the airline had ‘no immediate plans’ to order any wide-body aircraft.
The Boeing MAX that SpiceJet plans to induct will allow the airline to connect countries that are up to 7-8 hours of flying from India.
