SpiceJet quietly boosts capacity with two new Boeing 737s amid IndiGo’s woes

SpiceJet has added two Boeing 737 aircraft to its fleet, and the inductions completed even before IndiGo’s operational meltdown triggered nationwide flight cuts and forced regulators to push other carriers to step in.

The aircraft entered commercial service on November 26 and 29 after completing all regulatory formalities and are already flying key routes including Delhi–Bangkok, Ahmedabad–Dubai and Ahmedabad–Kolkata, SpiceJet said on Tuesday.
