The South Western Railway (SWR) has announced that it garnered a gross revenue of Rs 4,288.27 crore during April to October, marking a 10.44% increase compared to the same period in the previous year when it earned Rs 3,882.93 crore.
According to SWR’s statement, the revenue from originating passenger services for the six-month period amounted to Rs 1,801.68 crore, representing a significant growth of 15.20 percent compared to the revenue of Rs 1,563.97 crore in the April to October 2022 period. Additionally, SWR reported originating freight revenue of Rs 2,741.40 crore, reflecting an 11.66% increase.
