Navi Mumbai: Air safety at the soon-to-be-inaugurated Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is under serious threat as illegal slaughter and mutton sales have resumed just three km from the runway, activists warned.
Acting on directions from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Cidco removed makeshift shops in Ulwe, but the illicit trade returned in full force, said activist Karan Chawla.
