Skoda planning to launch electric car in India, but not anytime soon
Skoda Auto India, part of the Volkswagen group, is planning to enter the growing electric car segment in India. According to a company executive, the company may launch the EV in India in 2027-28.
“We are evaluating to launch the electric car in India during 2027-28 after setting up a localised supplier base. By this time, we will get the time to set up the supplier base, and the charging infrastructure would also develop”, brand director of Skoda Auto India Ashish Gupta told reporters today.
