SC denies urgent hearing on plea over IndiGo flight cancellation

The Supreme Court on Monday declined an urgent hearing sought by a petitioner over an IndiGo flight cancellation, even as flight disruptions continued across major airports. The petitioner sought immediate listing, pointing to widespread delays that left large numbers of passengers waiting at terminals.

Chief Justice of India said the court understood that “lakhs of people are stranded, some may have urgent work, some may have health issues,” but added that the government had already taken timely steps and acknowledged the situation. He said an urgent hearing was not needed.
