Sagardighi supercritical thermal power unit to start ops from Dec 10

Kolkata: Sagardighi’s new supercritical thermal power unit will start operations from Dec 10, CM Mamata Banerjee announced on Thursday.

Addressing a rally at Berhampore in Murshidabad, the CM said, “In Sagardighi’s thermal power plant in Murshidabad, we are again constructing a supercritical power unit of 660 MW. This would be Bengal’s largest and north east India’s first supercritical thermal power plant. I announced it in 2017. Now it’s complete. From Dec 10, it will supply power.”
