RK Puram gets substation, Masjid Moth new 100 MVA power transformers

Delhi Power Minister Satyendra Jain inaugurated 220 kilo watt (KV) substation at RK Puram and 100 Mega Volt Amp (MVA) power transformers at Masjid Moth established by Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) on Wednesday. A 100 MVA power transformer has been added at its existing substation at Masjid Moth to enhance its transformation capacity, a senior SDMC official said. He said the 220 KV substations at RK Puram has been established using state-of-the-art technology viz ‘Gas Insulated Switchgears’ (GIS) with an investment of Rs 110 crore.

“This substation has a transmission capacity of 520 MVA and would cater to the needs of a larger area. This substation has been connected with our 220 KV substation at Vasant Kunj to further smoothen the transmission of power,” he said.
