Rain fury continues in Mumbai: Flight operations hit for 2nd day; long delays frustrate flyers as SpiceJet, Akasa Air and IndiGo issue travel alerts
MUMBAI: Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall on Tuesday, causing flight disruptions at the city’s airport. Arrival flights were delayed by an average of 30 minutes, while departures faced delays of around 20 minutes. Passengers were urged to check their airline flight status before leaving for the airport.
Normally, air traffic thins out after midnight. However, due to arriving aircraft holding to land and delayed departures, the cascading effect of delays continued beyond 2.30 am
