Railways to upgrade Vande Bharat trains: More coaches on 7 routes amid rising demand

NEW DELHI: The Railway Board has decided to add more coaches to Vande Bharat trains on seven operational routes in view of high passenger occupancy, officials said.The seven routes include Mangaluru Central–Thiruvananthapuram Central, Secunderabad–Tirupati, Chennai Egmore–Tirunelveli, Madurai–Bengaluru Cantt, Deoghar–Varanasi, Howrah–Rourkela, and Indore–Nagpur.

Officials said the released trains will also be deployed on some new routes.
