Railways to allow McDonald’s, KFC type premium single brand food outlets at stations

The Indian Railways has decided to permit setting up of premium single brand food outlets such as McDonald’s, KFC, Pizza Hut, Baskin Robbins, Haldirams, and Bikanerwala, among others at stations. Space at stations for these outlets at railway stations will be auctioned for a five-year period. The aim is to bring railway stations at par with similar facilities available to passengers at airports, a Railway Board circular said.
