Power PSU extends help of Rs 22.5 cr for disaster victims

The Government of Uttarakhand received a financial assistance of Rs 22.5 Crore from the seven Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) of power sector on Tuesday for helping the disaster affected families of the State. A cheque of the aforementioned amount was handed to the disaster management and rehabilitation minister of Uttarakhand Dhan Singh Rawat by the union Power minister R K Singh in programme organised under the aegis of the Rural electrification corporation limited at New Delhi.

The Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami virtually participated in the programme. In a statement Dhan Singh Rawat said that in the recent rain triggered disaster the state suffered huge loss of life and property.
