NEW DELHI: Petrol and diesel prices were hiked by 80 paise a litre each on Tuesday, taking the total increase in two weeks to Rs 9.20 a litre.
Price of petrol and diesel in Delhi now stand at Rs 104.61 per litre and Rs 95.87 per litre respectively today. In Mumbai, the petrol and diesel prices per litre stand at Rs 119.67 and Rs 103.92. It has been increased by 84 paise and 85 paise respectively.
Rates differ from state to state depending on the incidence of local taxes.
There had been a pause in the of revision of fuel prices since November 4 last year. It was broken in March 22 after crude oil prices rose because of the Russia-Ukraine war. This is the 13th increase in prices since March.
