New Delhi: Delhi govt has asked discoms to make extensive preparations for the winter electricity demand, which is expected to reach 6,000 MW.
This year, in summer, the city’s electricity demand reached 8,442 MW, which was a record.
A peak of about 6,000 MW, as projected by the State Load Dispatch Centre (SLDC), would set a new seasonal high. Last winter, Delhi’s highest demand was 5,655 MW.
