On Jan 7, 2019, the government launched the second round of auctions under which 14 exploration blocks spread over 29,233 sq km have been offered. With the launch of Notice Inviting Offer (NIO), now the bidders can study the data available in National Data Repository (NDR) and select blocks for the bidding. The bidders would be able to submit their bids through an online e-bidding portal starting Jan 8, 2019 and the bidding round would continue till Mar 12, 2019.
