NHAI saves over Rs 2,000 crore in toll collection charges
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has saved Rs 2062 crore in toll collection charges which have reduced to Rs 2674 crore in 2024-25 from Rs 4736 crore in 2023-24.
“This is primarily due to various initiatives taken by NHAI like close monitoring of current contracts, deletion of provision for deemed extension of three months, timely bidding, ensuring the maximum contracts for one-year duration are awarded and short-term contracts of three months are minimized” NHAI said in a statement issued on Thursday.
