Mumbai: Work on new railway station between Thane and Mulund stalled due to legal issues, says Shiv Sena MP

Thane: Work on the new railway station between Thane and Mulund on the suburban railway network has been stalled due to legal issues, and commuters may have to wait longer to board trains from here, Shiv Sena MP Naresh Mhaske announced on Monday.

“The works by Thane Municipal Corporation to provide allied infrastructure, including connectivity to the major road networks outside the station premises, is nearing completion. There is some legal issue that needs to be resolved by the railways, which will be done soon, following which the station will be made operational for the benefit of local residents,” he said.
