Mumbai: Railway commuter caught with fake season ticket, FIR registered

Mumbai: A ticket examiner with the Central Railway detected a commuter travelling with a fake season ticket. An FIR was registered by CSMT Govt Railway Police (GRP).

The incident was reported on Nov 15. Ticket examiner Sujata Kalgaonkar, attached to the CSMT-Kalyan Special Squad, was on duty at Masjid station. She was checking the tickets of passengers when one commuter produced a second class quarterly season ticket (pass) from CSMT to Dadar. The pass mentioned it was valid from Aug 20 to Nov 19.
