Mumbai: Railway Board clears shift of four long-distance trains to LTT; move to ease Kurla–CSMT bottleneck for locals

Mumbai: The Railway Board has approved shifting the terminal of four long-distance trains to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), a move expected to open up additional train paths on the heavily congested Kurla–CSMT corridor and help improve punctuality of suburban local services.

The trains approved for shifting to LTT are 22629 Dadar–Tirunelveli, 16331 CSMT–Thiruvananthapuram (TVC) Express, 16351 CSMT–Nagercoil (East) and 16339 CSMT–Nagercoil (West).
