Mumbai: Over 2 lakh power consumers of MSEDCL switch to green bills in the past 3 months
Mumbai: The MSEDCL’s ‘Go-Green’ scheme, launched to stop the use of printed paper for electricity bills, has received a tremendous response from electricity consumers. In the last three months alone, over 2 lakh power consumers participated in this scheme.
“To date, more than 7 lakh eco-friendly consumers have completely stopped using printed paper for electricity bills and opted for only ’email’ and ‘SMS’ options,” said MSEDCL Managing Director Lokesh Chandra, adding that the consumers, mainly in the low-tension (LT) category, receive an annual benefit of Rs 8.5 crore.
