Mumbai: Metro Line 4, 4A connectivity to Mogharpada car shed cleared by MCZMA; 20 creeklet piers approved
MUMBAI: The Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) has cleared the connectivity from Metro Line 4 and 4A to the metro car shed at Mogharpada. The MCZMA recommended the construction of 20 piers in a creeklet for an approach road with a spur line for Metro Line 4 to the Centre.
Metro Line 4 is a 32.32 km long route proposed from Wadala to Kasarvadavli in Thane, while Metro Line 4A is 2.7 km long from Kasarvadavli to Gaimukh, also in Thane. The MMRDA, which is implementing the project, proposed an elevated approach between the metro route and car depot at Mogharpada. The elevated approach passes through a creeklet.
