Mumbai likely to get additional 1,000MW renewable energy by March as Kudus-Aarey transmission corridor project completed

Mumbai: The Kudus–Aarey HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) project, a 320kV transmission link designed to bring an additional 1,000MW of renewable energy into Mumbai’s grid, including renewable energy sourced from across the national grid, is expected to be commissioned by Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) in March.

With Mumbai increasingly dependent on imported power, the link is expected to improve grid stability and reduce the risk of constraints during peak demand periods.
