Mumbai CNG mayhem: After autos, taxis and school buses, BEST fleet might go off roads today — all you need to know
MUMBAI: A day after the damage to a gas pipeline in Chembur, several Mumbaikars faced the inconvenience of not getting autos, taxis, private cabs, and school buses on Monday as operations of several CNG refuelling stations in MMR remained shut.
The situation may worsen on Tuesday as 44% of the BEST bus fleet running on CNG could be off the roads too, thereby crippling the city’s road lifeline. This is apart from several autos and taxis being unavailable, said transportation sources. The crisis also affected owners of the more than 500,000 private CNG cars in the region.
