Mumbai: Change in customer name on electricity bill gets automatic approval

Mumbai: For quality and prompt customer service, MSEDCL has started giving automatic approval to online applications for a change of name on electricity bills. After uploading necessary documents and paying the processing fee, the process of changing the customer name on electricity bills will be completed in just 3 to 7 days. Earlier, this process used to take a month as per action standards.

Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis recently directed MSEDCL to make customer-oriented changes in digital services to provide prompt services to electricity consumers from their homes.
