In order to boost infrastructure and connectivity of the national Capital with peripheral areas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to inaugurate three more major projects worth Rs 32,506 crore on Friday in Ghaziabad.
Ghaziabad district magistrate (DM) Ritu Maheswari said, ‘The projects include much awaited civil terminal for domestic flights from Hindon Air force station which is constructed on a budget of Rs 60 crore’.
The civil aviation sources revealed that from April 10, the civil flights would start operating from here. ‘Commuters can start online booking from a March 15. The premier airlines including Air India, Indigo, Vistara and other airlines have started surveying and have agreed to operate from here. The flight from Hindon can be booked to Hubli in Karnataka, Kerala and other stations,’ said the official.
