Mizoram is now on railway grid: PM Modi unveils Bairabi-Sairang project, three new trains
Mizoram capital Aizawl joined the country’s railway network on Sunday with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the ₹8,070-crore Bairabi-Sairang project and flagging three express trains connecting the northeastern state to Delhi, Calcutta and Guwahati.
The new trains — Sairang–Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang–Guwahati Express and Sairang–Kolkata Express — will provide the people of Mizoram direct connectivity to major cities across the country.
