Maharashtra state electricity bill download now requires login

Navi Mumbai: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has mandated that consumers in low voltage category needs to register (login) to download a PDF copy of their electricity bill online from the official website. This measure ensures cyber security and confidentiality of consumer information, aligning with the central govt’s cyber security guidelines. On the ‘View / Pay Bill’ page of the website, domestic, commercial, industrial, and other consumers in the low pressure category can download the current month’s electricity bill online. Previously, this facility was accessible only by submitting a 12-digit customer number. Under new regulation, while the option to pay electricity bills online without login remains available, downloading the PDF bill now requires registration, said MSEDCL. Customers not yet registered must fill in their customer number, mobile number, and email (if any), and create a login ID and password. After registering, various online services become accessible for multiple electricity connections.
