L&T’s power arm wins grid infrastructure orders worth up to Rs 5,000 crore from Saudi Arabia

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D) vertical has bagged multiple orders in Saudi Arabia worth between Rs 2,500 – 5,000 crore. The ‘large’ contracts involve building a 380 kV substation and associated transmission lines to strengthen the country’s grid network.

L&T wins Saudi grid orders

The first contract is for setting up a 380/33 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS). The project scope includes installation of hybrid GIS components, 380 kV transformers and reactors, and subsystems for protection, control, automation, telecommunication, HVAC and firefighting.
