As on Nov 30, 2018, Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have released more than 5.85 crore LPG connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY). In the last one year, the number of refills have jumped to 9.40 crore in FY 2017-18, from 3.86 crore in FY 2016-17. However, the ratio of ‘refills to the connections released’ remains extremely low, at 1.65 in the 8 months period of this fiscal.
