Konkan Railway to expand car Ro-Ro service at 3 more stations
Mumbai: Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd (KRCL) plans to expand its car Roll-on Roll-off (Ro-Ro) service along the Mumbai–Konkan route by developing dedicated ramps and related infrastructure at three stations — Sawantwadi Road, Ratnagiri, and Sangameshwar.
The initiative aims to make the car ferry service a regular feature, providing motorists with a convenient and time-saving alternative to driving long distances, especially during Ganeshotsav and Diwali.
