Very heavy overnight showers brought Kolkata to a standstill on Tuesday, leaving several areas waterlogged and disrupting road and air travel.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned of more downpour in the coming days due to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal.
Operations at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport were severely affected today as bad weather led to the cancellation of 30 flights and delays to 42 others, a Kolkata Airport official told ANI.
