‘It’s your sky’ to be Akasa Air’s tagline; its B737 Max will fly in orange & purple colours
NEW DELHI: Signalling affordable flying with its tagline “it’s your sky”, billionaire investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed Akasa Air on Wednesday unveiled its livery — the look of its Boeing 737 Max when they start flying in the summer of 2022.
The proposed ultra low cost carrier has shunned the traditional blue and red colour — long favoured by Indian carriers — and opted for ‘sunrise orange’ and ‘passionate purple’ colours, which it says, reflect warmth and youthful energy.
The airline’s symbol is a rising A, symbolising “the warmth of the rising sun, the effortless flight of a bird and the dependability of an aircraft wing.”
Akasa founder, managing director & CEO, Vinay Dube, said: “Translating our purpose to serve every traveller with an innovative yet simple alternative required a modern and confident symbol, the Akasa Air brand identity encapsulates the collective spirit of flying and the individual pursuit of dreams for each of us.
