The Veera Surendra Sai (VSS) Nagar Unnayan Parishad has demanded installation of lights on the rail over-bridge (RoB) connecting VSS Nagar to Mancheswar Postal Colony at the earliest.
Parishad general secretary Dillip Dashsharma alleged that even after two years of inauguration of the RoB by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, lights have not been installed yet.
He said that due to unavailability of lights on the bridge, the pedestrians fear to go from one end to the other. As the bridge is not properly constructed, accidents are also on the rise due to less visibility during nights hours, Dashsharma added.
