IndiGo’s foreign plans hit a snag with delay in A321neo deliveries
Budget airline IndiGo expects a delay in the delivery of Airbus A321neo planes, which could potentially cause a short postponement in its overseas expansion plans.
“The delivery of A321neo planes is expected to slow down,” said Wolfgang Prock-Schauer, president and chief operating officer of InterGlobe Aviation Ltd, which owns IndiGo.
“They (A321neo planes) are made in Hamburg where there are some (industrial) disturbances,” said Prock-Schauer, adding that the production interruption is temporary and normal deliveries are expected to resume within the next three-six months.
