IndiGo top officials seek time to reply to regulator’s notice

Top officials at IndiGo on Monday sought more time to respond to a show-cause notice by the civil aviation regulator saying it was not possible to find the exact reasons behind the airline’s unprecedented network collapse so early because of its large and complex operations.

IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers and COO Isidre Porqueras said due to the complexity and vast scale of operations, it has been unable to pinpoint the exact causes for the network meltdown, according to a statement from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).
