IndiGo crisis: DGCA issues show-cause notice to airline CEO for flight disruptions, asks for response in 24 hours
The DGCA on Saturday issued a show-cause notice to IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers over the flight disruptions and the record number of over 1,000 cancellations in a single day, by any Indian carrier in the country’s aviation history.
“It has also been noticed that the primary cause of said flight disruptions is non-provisioning of adequate arrangements to cater to the revised requirements for smooth implementation of the approved FDTL scheme for the airline,” said DGCA in the show-cause notice.
