Indigo CEO Pieter Elbers highlights India’s growth potential in aviation sector, calls it one of the most competitive markets
IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers, while speaking at the conference of the All India Management Association (AIMA) in Delhi, called India one of the most competitive aviation markets in the world, adding that the competition in the market is huge.
Elbers said that India is an “incredible” aviation market and IndiGo is going through a “maturing phase”. He stressed on having aviation hubs in India which is an underserved area.
The airline is currently in the lead in India and has a domestic market share of over 63%. It has also started expanding its operations internationally. IndiGo connects 32 international and 81 domestic destinations.
