AHMEDABAD/NEW DELHI – Gujarat State Petronet NSE 2.28 % (GSPL) wants to pull out of a northern India gas pipeline project that would link Punjab state to the hilly areas of Jammu and Srinagar due to high construction costs, officials said.
GSPL in August wrote to the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) to surrender authorisation to extend the pipeline beyond Punjab to Jammu and Srinagar citing low gas demand and technical complexities, according to a letter seen by Reuters.
