Indian Oil seeks bids for 24 mn barrels of oil from Americas after Russia curbs
Indian Oil, India’s major state-run refiner, is seeking as much as 24 million barrels of crude from the Americas for delivery in the first quarter of 2026 as it braces for potential disruptions to Russian oil supplies following fresh U.S. sanctions, according to reports from Bloomberg and Reuters.
Bloomberg reported that IOC is seeking grades from the U.S., Canada, Brazil, and Latin America, with offers for the expression of interest due Friday. The move comes as Indian refiners, among the biggest buyers of seaborne Russian crude, have paused new purchases after Washington blacklisted top Russian producers Rosneft PJSC and Lukoil PJSC last week.
